Although each of our projects is unique, they all incorporate the following 4 steps:

  1. Consultation: During a 1-hour consultation at your home, we gather all information needed to best create a customized “master plan” for your property. We discuss issues such as site requirements, types of plants desired, the amount of maintenance the garden will need, etc. Within 1 week of this initial meeting you will receive a written proposal outlining all design services and fees. This proposal ensures that all of your goals have been clearly established, so that there are no surprises down the road. Once the proposal has been approved, a contract will be sent so that work may commence.
  2. Design: After measurements and photos of your site are taken, preliminary plans and elevations are drawn. These are accompanied by color photographs of all proposed plants. We will then meet to review your design and make any necessary changes. Once the design is approved a final color rendering, with plant key, is created. This rendering, along with a complete set of 4-season care instructions, is included in your final package.
  3. Installation: How your garden is installed is up to you. Your final plan is executed so that you can either install your garden yourself or have a professional contractor do the work. Or you may choose to work with our highly skilled installers to implement your plan, in which case we will oversee this process from start to finish, insuring that the garden is installed to our exact specifications.
  4. Follow-up: In the year following completion of your project, we will make seasonal visits to assess the progress of your garden. As plants are living things, these visits are of great value to you, allowing us the opportunity to track the growth of your garden and address any concerns and questions you may have.
